Meanwhile, Doi was sitting in the living room, rocking himself back and forth to simulate being cradled by his mother. It was a habit he had picked up from a young age, after she had ‘gone on vacation’ and never came back. He sat there, gripping onto the only thing remaining of his friend.
A grey can.
He hugged it tightly, as though it would be taken away from him if it wasn’t completely protected. It was the only thing he had left now, thanks to those teachers… that phone… he didn’t know who was at the end of it, but he knew whoever it was had taken crowe away from him.
And as if on cue, it began to ring.

Colin returned home, bag in hand. Thankfully, not many puppets stared at him so he could get the groceries without gaining unwanted attention. He unlocked the door, pulling it to with his foot as he entered the large red house, and set the bags down.
“I’m back…” he droned without enthusiasm, putting the shopping in it’s designated places. A tin of soup slipped out of his grasp. Great, his batteries were running low again. The aged computer bent down to pick the tin up, and carefully pushed it into a gap in the cupboard. The ocd riddled geek smiled with satisfaction, happy that it had perfectly filled up the space
